Clipper Cordova Motor Yachts was born from a deep and lifelong passion for the sea. Founded by Brett and Jacinta Cooper, the brand reflects their love of boating, commitment to craftsmanship, and strong Tasmanian connection to the ocean. What began as the pursuit of their own dream motor yacht evolved into a bold new venture driven by resilience, vision, and an uncompromising standard of quality.
The journey began with the purchase of a Clipper motor yacht, which took an unexpected turn following the collapse of the Australian distributor, leaving owners in limbo. As Brett and Jacinta worked through the complex process of completing their vessel, they established direct relationships with suppliers and the Guangdong based shipyard. Through this partnership, they secured exclusive control of the Cordova design moulds and registered the Clipper Cordova name, becoming the official importers and custodians of a new generation of refined motor yachts.
Today, Clipper Cordova Motor Yachts represents a curated range of premium vessels, including the Storm Bay series. Inspired by Tasmania’s rugged coastline, the Storm Bay range reflects a modern evolution of the brand, combining timeless design with performance, comfort, and seaworthiness. Each model is crafted to deliver a refined cruising experience across both open water and sheltered bays.
Beyond the vessels themselves, the Cooper family brings extensive business experience to the brand, with decades of success in property development and residential construction through their Tasmanian companies. As lifelong boat owners with experience in offshore racing and East Coast cruising, they understand what today’s motor yacht owner expects: strength, reliability, considered design, and effortless performance.
The first model in the Storm Bay range, the Storm Bay 45, is a two cabin sedan cruiser designed for East Coast conditions. Launched in April 2025 and showcased at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, it reflects the direction of the range with a strong focus on safety, style, and onboard comfort.
